Founded in 1979, the Burdi Chiropractic and Massage Facility has developed into a reliable source for recovering from auto/personal/sport/work injuries and sustaining optimum health. Wellness is encouraged and shown through patient education and newsletters to be valuable to having a fully functioning life.
When you arrive you will have the pleasure to meet Dr. Burdi, his charming wife, Sherree', and their 3 children, Christina, JB or Matt, providing backup for their loving parents. Within a year of joining the office in 1995, Sherree' incorporated her own form of gentle massage therapy into the office.
During the examination and each visit you will experience the Activator Methods using leg length checks to determine the location and direction of subluxations (joint misalignments causing nerve interference, which can occur with only 40 mm of pressure according to the studies done at the University of Colorado!).
Once the location and direction of vertebra/joint misalignment is determine, the hand held Activator device is gently used to properly align the joint, thus relieving the nerve interference. Additionally, adjunctive physiotherapy (ultrasound, diathermy, acupressure, or massage) may need to be used to relieve the soft tissue inflammation (causes the pain sensations). Usually multiple adjustments on alternate days are needed to train the ligaments to hold the proper joint alignment.
